Profile and Dashboard

BuddyGo is built with a very good looking profile and dashboard which is very much flexible. What makes it flexible is that the users can align the widgets anywhere in the three columns – Left, Middle or Right – as they like. If they don't wish to show certain widget on their profile or dashboard, they can simply remove those from the same.

Difference between a profile and dashboard at BuddyGo is that profile is a page of yours which is seen by other users when they enter your profile, while dashboard is private for you and your widgets shall not be shown to other users.

To upload a file, you just have to click on the topbar, click on the files, then go to upload page and fill in the details. Its pretty easy.

At BuddyGo, we have a music player widget, which can be used in dashboard and profile.

Videos

BuddyGo allows you to integrate videos from other websites and embed it on your page. You can embed videos from Youtube, Metacafe, Vimeo, etc. by going to the “Add a video” page and filling the details.

We also have a widget that shows the videos added by the user. You just have to activate it.

We will be releasing our own video hosting website in the coming years, but not now.

Private Messaging System

BuddyGo is having a well developed Private Messaging system. You can send Private Messages to any user, or even multiple users.

The Notification System is extended to the Private Messaging System so that the notifications can be seen as a private message. The Notification via Private Messaging can be disabled by the user – just go to the settings page to do it.

Photos and Gallery

BuddyGo is having a way too advanced photo gallery in which you can upload multiple photos, tag your friends, and so much more. You can also view slideshow of a gallery.

We have both flash uploader as well as normal uploader for uploading photos to the gallery. Flash uploader allows you to add multiple pictures by multiple selection of images. Using the normal uploader, you will have to select photos one by one to upload.

Posts, Pages and Blogs

In BuddyGo, you would be able to add contents in three ways – as a Post, Page or as a Blog.

Post allows you to add only text contents and the text limit is 140 words. This is more like a microblogging service.

Pages and Blogs are almost same. Both these allows you to add content – both text as well as images. The major difference between these two is that we can add sub-pages to Pages, but we can't do that on a Blog.

Currently, BuddyGo doesn't support direct uploading of images into Pages or Blogs, it allows you to add the images that is already on the internet. You will just have to add the links to the images in the WYSIWYG editor and you are done. If the image you desire to add is not yet on the internet, don't worry, you can upload it as a photo and add the link to that photo the editor to show it on the blog.

Chat

BuddyGo's chatting system is way too advanced than what you would expect it to be. It not only allows you to send messages and emoticons, it also allows you to send files.

You can also save the message history to your computer, as well as send a copy of the message history to your email or an email to which you desire to send it.

Groups

BuddyGo allows you to create groups, invite your friends to join it as well as allow you to join a group created by other users.

There is a seperate widget section for a group. Users can also post Blogs, Pages, Posts as well as add images and videos to groups.

Groups can be Private or Public.

Bookmarks

BuddyGo allows you to bookmark your favourite pages, both the pages outside the website as well as the pages inside the BuddyGo community.

To bookmark a page that you are viewing in BuddyGo, you just have to click the icon that shows a pin at the top of the page. You can view you bookmarked items by using the bookmark widget in profile and dashboard.
